New Black Panther: Marvel Announces David Jonsson Takes Over the Mantle

Six years after Chadwick Boseman's tragic death from colon cancer, Marvel Studios has finally revealed the actor who will take up the mantle of Black Panther. British star David Jonsson, known for roles in 'Alien: Romulus' and 'Industry', will be the new face behind the mask.

The announcement came during San Diego Comic-Con, where the studio also confirmed that 'Black Panther 3' will hit theaters on December 15, 2028. Director Ryan Coogler clarified that Jonsson is not a recast but will play an adult version of T'Challa's son, introduced at the end of 'Wakanda Forever'.
