Citizen Vigilante Director Calls BS on Armie Hammer Being Distraught Over Film

Director Uwe Boll, who helmed the upcoming film Citizen Vigilante starring Armie Hammer, has publicly denied rumors that the actor was deeply unhappy with the final cut. According to the filmmaker, reports claiming Hammer was appalled and even cried over the result are completely false.

Boll stated that Hammer attended the distributor screening at the American Film Market, gave numerous interviews to promote the movie, and even led a Q&A session at the film's first public screening in Los Angeles. Such behavior, the director argued, is hardly that of someone who hates the film.

Earlier, Puck reported, citing sources, that Hammer was disgusted by the final edit, calling it 'hateful' and 'disgusting.' However, Boll categorically dismissed these claims, saying they are baseless and that working with the actor was a pleasure.

The director attributes the rumors to the film's controversial nature, which sparked debate even before its release. The movie was banned in Germany due to its strong anti-immigration and anti-Muslim messaging, making it one of the most talked-about films of the season.

'Some people will love it, others will disagree with it – that is true of many films. My job as a filmmaker is to tell the story I set out to tell, and audiences can decide for themselves,' Boll added.
